Young NCB members are able to speak out about the issues that affect their lives, deciding on work priorities, and take part in focus groups and online consultations around issues such as health, youth services and transport. In addition, six Young NCB members sit on NCB's Board of Trustees and Membership Forum and help direct and influence NCB's work.
Young people from Young NCB have also been members of external groups such as the Youth Crime Action Plan advisory group. This work reflects one of their current priorities, "youth, crime and prevention" for which Young NCB has recently conducted research on young people's fear of crime.
