Hannah Gibney, 15, and Jack Sharp, 16, were among 47 representatives who went to Downing Street to take part in a consultation event organised as part of the Big Conversation initiative. Also present were the Children's Minister Margaret Hodge, and Paymaster General Dawn Primarolo.
Hannah's team talked about early years at the event, while Jack's group discussed participation. Other topics included raising educational aspiration, supporting parents, reducing inequality and child protection.
"We advised the Government to do more to involve young people in their schooling," said Jack. "We should be given more choice on the topics we want to learn about - and we should be able to take more vocational courses, not just the academic subjects."
