NCB Now: Young inspectors have their say

1 min read
Monira, 18, lives in Rochester and has been part of Youth4U - Young Inspectors for a year. She is at school studying graphics, English, sociology and ICT.

When she joined the programme she received her induction training and has had the ongoing support of her local support worker. Monira feels that being a young inspector has helped her to be more confident and has given her more skills that she can use in different aspects of her life.

She also enjoys the practical side of inspecting: "At the moment, we're doing a survey about the health service and how it helps young people. I have inspected a special needs school and found that the students were really hard working and dedicated. The school though, didn't expect much of them, and I didn't agree with that; so that's what I put in my report."
