NCB Now: Update from Scotland and Wales - Training on working with parents

Children in Wales is offering two training courses for professionals working with parents.

A two-day course, Living With Teenagers, shows delegates how to provide parents with a better understanding of teenage development. It highlights the need to encourage parents to examine their own behaviours and attitudes, and to act as positive role models.

A second course, Working With Fathers, focuses on methods of engaging with and supporting fathers in a way which will benefit their partners and children as well.

Participants will receive a manual detailing course content and featuring hints on delivery.

Both courses are available as open public training events or can be tailored for individual organisations. For information please email lian.williams@childreninwales.org.uk

- NCB (England and Northern Ireland) works in partnership with Children in Scotland and Children in Wales. For further information visit www.childreninscotland.org.uk (0131 228 8484) or www.childreninwales.org.uk (029 2034 2434).
