Children in Wales has been commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government to develop training materials and related resources in order to raise awareness with key professionals working with children and young people about the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child. Article 42 of the UNCRC states that "all adults and children should know about the UNCRC".
A previous mapping exercise identified that the priority is to support the knowledge development and implementation of the UNCRC with professionals in the fields of education, social work, health, youth justice and immigration. The focus of this work will be on both the preand postqualification stages of training for professionals.
