The Welsh Early Support Programme

Children in Wales is leading the partnership to develop the Welsh Early Support Programme, which was developed in England to improve the quality, consistency and co-ordination of services for disabled children under five and their families.

The Welsh Assembly Government has now agreed to implement the programme across all 22 local authorities in Wales. These will adopt a package of materials and training to enable them to provide the right support for families. Children in Wales is organising a series of information days to raise awareness of the programme. These will take place in Llandrindod Wells on 23 March and in south-west Wales and Wrexham on the 10 and 12 June respectively.
