The Welsh Assembly Government and Children in Wales are hosting an event to share best practice as highlighted by an evaluation of the Flying Start initiative.
Flying Start was developed to improve outcomes for children living in certain areas, in preparation for school and the long term. The programme includes free part-time childcare for two-year-olds, as well as increased health visitor support and parenting programmes.
The event, which will take place on 3 November 2009 in Llandrindod Wells, will look at results of the qualitative evaluation of Flying Start undertaken by Ipsos Mori for the Welsh Assembly Government.
