A special issue of Children in Europe magazine, exploring the life and ideas of Lev Vygotsky, the early 20th century Russian psychologist, has just been published.
Vygotsky was responsible for the socio-cultural development theory of learning, and his ideas are still deeply influential in early childhood services across much of mainland Europe and beyond.
Guest edited by Dr Elena Yudina from the Moscow City University of Psychology and Education, with contributors from Russia, Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, US, Slovenia and Finland, the magazine considers the impact and continuing legacy of the esteemed Russian.
