The arts can transform and enrich the lives of young children and contribute to lifelong creativity and wellbeing. Issue 14 of Children in Europe magazine, to be published by Children in Scotland in March, will consider the role and use of the arts in services for children from birth to 10 years.
Drawing on research and practical examples from across Europe, it will examine the variety of ways the arts are used in learning, social and emotional development and in promoting inclusion. This edition of Children in Europe will be followed by an international conference, Picture This ... Young Children and the Arts, to be held in December.
