NCB Now: NCB recruits for parenting project

NCB is seeking 12 agencies to take part in a project aimed at helping child and family services engage with parents who have significant support needs.

The project, which is funded by the Department for Education and Skills' Parenting Fund, is being run in partnership with the Parenting Education and Support Forum.

NCB's family support unit is looking for settings working with parents experiencing mental health difficulties or who are engaged in substance misuse.

Over an eight month period the unit will work with the settings to identify good practice which supports parenting, encourage inter agency working and increase family involvement in shaping services.
