NCB Now: NCB pays tribute to Nigel Williams

NCB has paid tribute to Nigel Williams, Northern Ireland's commissioner for children and young people, who died on 28 March after a two-year battle with cancer.

A pioneer in computer safety for children, Williams founded ChildnetInternational, an organisation that focuses on promoting the rights andbest interests of children on the internet. He became Northern Ireland'sfirst commissioner for children and young people in July 2003, and inthis role worked closely with NCB, including taking part in several ofthe charity's events in Northern Ireland.

"Nigel Williams was a great friend both to children and young people andto NCB," said NCB chief executive Paul Ennals. "His death is a greatloss to the sector."
