So far, there have been three events - Leeds, Birmingham and London - and the next meeting is the inaugural event for the south-west in Bristol. By the end of the first round of events, nearly 200 members and member organisations will have networked and contributed to NCB's policy views.
Lisa Payne, who heads NCB's policy unit, has presented on a variety of subjects and policy initiatives. Payne says: "With Every Child Matters and children's trusts increasing the demand to have a good knowledge of the children's sector, these events are designed to give members an overview of the current policy landscape, a chance to tell us what they think about our policy priorities for 2008/09 and a chance to make new contacts in their area. So far they have been a great success."
