SHS has been awarded £110,000 and leadership training for senior management staff over the next two years, as a result of being selected by the Bank of America as a 2009 Neighbourhood Builder. This core operating grant is an extremely valuable contribution, as it supports the sustainability of vital work with children and families, within schools and the community.
The Bank of America Neighbourhood Excellence Initiative is designed to recognise, nurture and reward organisations, local heroes and student leaders who are helping their neighbourhoods to achieve excellence. SHS is proud to have received the award, which will support its current work in London and enable SHS to remain child-centred and responsive to need.
