The charity Family Action has recently produced a short survey of the professional support it provides to vulnerable adults in their own homes with parenting and household management throughout England. Family Action and Home-based Family Support: Addressing the Needs of the Most Vulnerable Children and Families looks at the contribution of the model to early intervention in families with multiple complex needs, in particular how it can meet the needs of families where one or both parents has a learning disability or mental health problem.
It discusses how the model supports outcomes at the local level such as safeguarding children, reducing child poverty and engaging hard to reach families in public services, volunteering, training and work. The survey can be downloaded for free from www.family-action.org.uk.
