Bruised Before Birth conferences 2010 in Cardiff and Birmingham.

Bruised Before Birth is a one-day conference to educate professionals, parents and carers about the complexities faced by a child with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). It explains ways to deal with their challenges to maximise potential in their day-to-day lives.

The conferences will take place at Cardiff University on Wednesday 14 July and at Birmingham on Tuesday 16 November. Speakers at the Cardiff conference include, Dr Raja Mukherjee, consultant psychiatrist, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust; Julie Gelo, adoptive mother of 10 children diagnosed with FASD. The executive director for the Washington State affiliate to the National Organisation on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and co-founder of Fast Friends FASD Community Support Network US, and Kevin Williams, Tact chief executive, will also attend.
