"This ethos is intrinsic to the way we work so children are able to play a formative role in decision making. One way we have achieved this is by taking part in the Early Childhood Unit's Listening to Children project, which encourages professionals to take young children's views into account. During the building of our new nursery the children contributed ideas on the design using photography, journals, and 3D modelling. These ideas resulted in what is now a light, child-friendly space.
"We are now working with the Early Childhood Unit on their Listening to Children About Food project, part of which involves children and parents formulating menus."
