"Established in 1995, Chance UK is a charity that organises mentoring programmes for five- to 11-year-olds with behavioural difficulties.
We also offer mentoring programmes for parents.
"The children with whom we work are typically very difficult to manage. They are unable to concentrate on their schoolwork, and may have problems making friends and getting on well with adults.
"Many have to contend with other difficulties such as inadequate parental supervision and poverty.
"We take a solution-focused approach towards mentoring. This means we don't focus on why the child is having these difficulties but look at their preferred future and how it would feel to be there.
