NCB Now: Magazine to help youths in custody

NCB's biannual Healthier Inside magazine highlights ways to improve the lives of young people in secure settings, by providing inspiration and learning to help the design and delivery of quality services.

Jo Butcher, NCB's assistant director of wellbeing, said: "Young people in custody are particularly vulnerable to poor outcomes and need extra help to lead healthy, positive lives. The time they spend in custody is an opportunity to help them turn their lives around."

Healthier Inside was developed to trigger new partnerships and creative practice. These include a Young People's Charter for Action poster and a practical toolkit to help deliver Every Child Matters and related national policies.
