NCB Now: Healthy Outlooks -- new NCB resources

As part of NCB's Healthy Outlooks work to promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people most in need, this summer NCB is hosting several learning seminars as well as producing a range of new resources to help young people and the professionals who work with them improve their wellbeing.

The resources include an information booklet for young people and a short guide for carers of ethnic minority children and young people in and leaving care. An educational DVD and teaching materials for young parents in custody, to help them connect with their children by improving play opportunities during prison visits, also available is the sixth edition of the Healthier Inside magazine, which looks at health and wellbeing issues for children in secure accommodation.

All resources will be available to download from the NCB website.

A limited number of hard copies of the resources will also be made available for free. To request a copy of any of the above resources, or to sign up to seminars and the free bi-monthly e-newsletters, email healthyoutlooks@ncb.org.uk, or visit www.ncb.org.uk/healthyoutlooks.
