NCB Now: Journal sets agenda for participation

1 min read
A special issue of the multi-disciplinary journal, Children & Society, published for NCB by John Wiley & Sons, aims to move forward the agenda on children's participation in public decision making.

The special issue draws together papers from a series of seminars, Challenging 'social inclusion': perspectives for and from children and young people, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and The Children's Society.

Guest-edited by Malcolm Hill, John Davis, Alan Prout and Kay Tisdall, it includes an agenda for action as well as articles examining a range of activities involving children and young people.

"Participation has moved a long way in the past ten years, but each step forward alerts us to how much more we need to learn," commented NCB's research director Dr Ruth Sinclair, one of the contributors to the journal.
