First children's embassy turns 18

The world's first children's embassy has come of age. Megjashi, based in Macedonia, was founded in Skopje in 1992 and is a not-for-profit international NGO dedicated to the promotion and protection of children's rights around the world.

Ireland bridges the generation gap

The Irish Children's Rights Alliance, together with the organisation Older & Bolder, celebrated European Day of Intergenerational Solidarity on 29 April, and highlighted the similar challenges facing children and older people in living their lives with the dignity and rights that they deserve.

EESC promotes inclusive education

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has adopted the view that inclusive education is the key to combating social exclusion. The EESC agreed that education and training are effective tools for promoting equality and social inclusion. Education policies, their content, approaches, structures and resource allocation should be revised by the EU and the member states.
