Black Sheep, Snow White and Hot CrossBuns: Exploring Equality and Diversity in Early Years Services willdevelop a greater understanding of how equality and inclusion supportsthe wellbeing of children, their families and practitioners, and howearly years settings and organisations can promote positive inclusionpractice.
At the event, NCB staff member and Channel 4's Cast Offs actressVictoria Wright will talk about her experience of having cherubism andexperts in the field will discuss a range of topics including supportfor disabled children and their families through policy and practice andthe effect of family experience on the development of children'sidentity. The conference will demonstrate how strong equality practiceplays a central role in the Early Years Foundation Stage, and how tochallenge assumptions and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
