NCB Now: Christine Lenehan awarded an OBE

Christine Lenehan, director of the Council for Disabled Children (CDC), has been appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her work with disabled children and their families for over 30 years.

As director of CDC and a board member of Every Disabled Child Matters, Lenehan has been at the vanguard of her field, raising the policy profile of disabled children and young people. She is a member of the stakeholders group looking at implementing Every Child Matters, and is on both the programme board and the ministerial implementation group for Aiming High for Disabled Children.
