NCB Now: Calls for intensive fostering service

NCB, Coram Family and Brunel University have published a joint report on specialist fostering for young people with challenging behaviour.

The report, based on the work of Coram Family's Fostering New Links Project, was launched to coincide with a conference on specialist fostering schemes organised by the Department for Education and Skills on 1 March. It reveals a high level of demand for an intensive fostering service and confirms the need for effective inter-agency co-ordination.

NCB's research department, together with Brunel University, was responsible for evaluating the Coram Family project.

- The report can be downloaded from www.coram.org.uk.
