This was the first in a series of events for eight- to 17-year-olds thataims to give children a chance to learn about their rights and how theyare portrayed in the media.
Young NCB, the Children's Rights Alliance for England and Unicef UKjoined forces to create a programme of interactive workshops. Thesessions featured activities such as making a graffiti wall, preparing atime capsule and a video diary room.
Future regional events will be in Blackpool on 25 March and Birminghamon 8 April, leading up to a national event in London on 22 April. Alimited number of adult places are available and all must be accompaniedby at least one young person.
