NCB Now: At the forefront of becoming climate smart

1 min read
Projections from the UK Climate Impacts Programme suggest that we must anticipate warmer, drier summers and milder, wetter winters - along with extreme weather events.

Significantly, for the last two years, NCB has been exploring how it can make a unique contribution to the climate change and sustainable development agendas.

On 24 April, NCB held a "becoming climate smart" workshop as part of a new programme in partnership with the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), and funded by the Baring Foundation, to help the children's sector become climate smart.

During the project, four charities, including NCB, will be supported by IDS to carry out a strategic review across their organisation to see how, through both their internal and public facing work, they can support mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
