The aim of the task force is to develop a vision and an action plan for wider third sector involvement in climate change, the environment and sustainable development. The action plan will identify and recommend long-lasting environmental actions for organisations across the sector.
Butcher said: "Climate change affects the children's sector in terms of the services it provides, its ability to deliver these services, and the costs of future problems arising from climate change. If we are smart, climate change can be an issue that unites us all in action to address a range of social, economic, public health and political issues."
