NCB Now: A look at children in the media

When it comes to children and young people, newspaper headlines tend to highlight the negative - child abuse and anti-social behaviour orders. Nevertheless, we are beginning to see encouraging signs in the press that children's sector messages are creeping on to political and public radars.

What the Papers Said: 2006/07 is a new publication from NCB's Childrenin the News service. It provides an overview and analysis of what thenational press has said about children and young people over the pastyear and shows that there is at least the beginning of a seriousdebate.

NCB provides daily and weekly summaries of press coverage on issuesconcerning children and young people.
