Youth projects from across the nation hit the headlines in newspapers and on radio stations to raise awareness of the important role youth work plays in young people's lives.
To support the promotion of Youth Work Week, the National Youth Agency launched a dedicated Youth Work Week webpage on the NYA website, which attracted more than 2,700 independent visitors. The page included resources for youth workers to download and promote their projects and details of 14 exemplars of youth work nationally - the Youth Work Week Ambassadors, who worked with the agency to promote the different ways youth work is undertaken.
Youth Work Week Ambassadors wrote case studies of their work (see below), which were showcased through the Youth Work Week Facebook page, Twitter feed and pitched to local journalists - including BBC Radio Cambridge, which interviewed young people from the Woodcraft Folk about their youth work experiences.
