The theme of the week is All Different, All Equal and the pack includes a range of exercises and activities for introducing the theme to young people as well as extensive listings of further resources on the subject. Plans for Youth Work Week 2008 are currently on hold while discussions are held with government departments regarding plans announced in the ten-year youth strategy "Aiming Higher" to investigate the potential for a "Youth Week".This would be based on an Australian model and would be a celebration of young people to foster more positive perceptions in their communities and society more widely. A further announcement will be made before the end of 2007.
