National Youth Agency: Winning performance gains Think Big recognition

2 mins read
A Glasgow youth project has been recognised for the great work it does by being awarded the Think Big Quality Mark.

Fuse Youth Cafe in Glasgow's East End, was set up in March 2009 by members of the community who, after talking with local young people, wanted to establish a drop-in centre where under-18s could socialise and learn new skills in a safe and secure environment.

The cafe's popularity quickly grew and young people flock from all over Glasgow to get involved in the different activities it provides. They work with over 700 young people from a variety of backgrounds, engaging them in activities from IT training through to providing a space for band rehearsals, with programmes guided by a young person's steering group.
