The group of 12 under-25s included Red Cross interns, staff and volunteers who were trained to help recruit new Red Cross staff.
Many of those involved have already practised their new skills for real and the hope is they will go on to train other young people to do the same in the future.
Ali James, youth development adviser for the Red Cross in Wales and the West of England, said: "Whether we are responding to an emergency, lending out a piece of medical equipment or teaching first aid, young people are key beneficiaries of all our services. By involving them in the way we recruit staff, we are allowing them to bring their perspective to the table and shape our services at a fundamental level."
