Red Cross searches for young heroes

The British Red Cross is searching for real-life young "superheroes" for its latest awards.

The charity's Humanitarian Citizens' Awards recognises the contribution young people make to the lives of others through first aid, fundraising, or helping their community.

Robin Wells, youth development co-ordinator at the British Red Cross, said: "This award recognises the amazing things that young people do to help others. They may not wear masks or a cape, but their selfless actions help to make the world a better place."
