What is Nacro?

Formerly the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders, Nacro is a crime reduction charity founded in 1966. It aims to rehabilitate offenders and helps 80,000 people a year through a wide range of services from training and seeking work to finding housing.

Where is it based?

Nacro's headquarters are in London. It has another base in Birmingham and operates in more than 300 projects in towns and cities throughout England and Wales. Scotland has its own organisation, Sacro, and Niacro covers Northern Ireland.

What roles are there?

There are almost 1,500 staff members and 1,000 volunteers. With a remit that covers education, housing, employment, mental health, race and criminal justice, as well as youth crime, Nacro offers a wide range of roles. Ex-offenders are welcome to apply.
