Myplace bids face rejection due to a huge demand for funding

1 min read Youth Work
Between 20 and 30 fast-track bids for Myplace funding are set to be turned down, following massive demand for the youth facilities improvement grant.

CYP Now understands the Big Lottery Fund has received in the region of 50 bids through the fast-track route for funding. But with just £50m of the fund's £190m available through the fast-track route it is understood only 20 bids will be successful.

The Big Lottery Fund said unsuccessful bids might still receive a reprieve. Some can be moved to the standard route of funding. The application process for the standard route, which has around £110m up for grabs, closed last week. Others who fail to get fast-track funding will be able to reapply for the £30m second wave of funding next year.
