Monday: We're working with The National Youth Agency on a project exploring youth-led innovation for the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (Nesta). It's been a really interesting experience. I'm particularly taken with the young man from Rotherham with speech and learning difficulties who's converted his bike to collect rubbish near his home on a weekly basis and transport it to the recyling centre. Inspiring stuff.
Tuesday: Rather glamorously, I'm at Number 10 to meet one of the PM's special advisers. It's also the day of the first Cabinet meeting since the summer recess. After a productive discussion, I emerge to face hundreds of flashbulbs followed shortly afterwards by lots of very disappointed journalists' faces when they realise I'm not one of the new ministers ushered in by the reshuffle.
