People are in care because they have no other options and they shouldn'tbe discriminated against because of this. I was in care because I cameon my own from Albania when I was 13.
I couldn't speak the language. Most of the time I didn't have anallocated social worker. It was an advantage for my carers as they knewI had no one to complain to. The duty social worker would say they wouldcall me back but they never did and if they did, they didn't have a cluewhat they were talking about.
People should be aware of your needs and your culture. Carers buy thingsfor themselves like DVDs. It would be nice if they bought you somethingso you can watch a film on your own and not feel excluded when everyoneelse is laughing and you don't understand.
