1 min read
I am 13 years old, nearly 14.

I am in Year 8 although I should be in Year 9. I had to do an extra yearin primary school. Everybody thought I had spent so much time either offsick or in hospital that I would not be able to cope with senior schoolin the normal year group.

The reason I have spent so much time in hospital is because I have acondition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. So far I have had 18operations with more to come.

All my life I have struggled physically to keep up with children my ageso I get put with younger children. When it means I am never withchildren my age or older it drives me mad.
