My life: Matt Luck, 15, Sutton Coldfield

1 min read
I had my first operation the day I was born 15 years ago. Hospital visits are an important and necessary part of my life. My heart is special and it needs to be looked after.

For the first three months of my life my home was Birmingham Children'sHospital. Since then I have been a regular visitor there.

But sometimes I wish I didn't have to take my medicines, or check myblood for clotting time, or go to the hospital to wait around for an ECGor an Echo. Most of all I wish I could play football for the schoolteam.

I do play zone hockey for the school; a new game developed for anyonewith a physical disability. It's good fun and we play other schools.

When I'm 16 or 18 I'll be transferred to adult care - a differenthospital to visit and a different doctor to see. This will be a bigchange.
