
Since then I've done everything from shadowing the minister for transport, hosting a youth radio show and working on an international project in Germany – opportunities that I and many people growing up in my perceived "deprived" community never knew were accessible.
Every member of staff I have ever encountered was an inspiration who made me feel empowered to take on anything the world could throw at me.
It was one of my workers who first introduced me to NCVYS. Two years later, I am happy to say that I love my job. The young facilitator role was designed to enhance NCVYS's own youth participation work, as well as provide 16- to 25-year-olds a platform into employment through a variety of training opportunities, new responsibilities and faith in our abilities.
