The initiative involved MSP Hugh O'Donnell participating in indoor rock climbing at Fairbridge's Glasgow centre before 11 young people aged 14 to 16 went to the Scottish Parliament to observe a debate.
The young people also had an opportunity to question O'Donnell on a range of issues including driving lessons, support when looking for employment, and helping homeless young people.
O'Donnell said: "I have been impressed at the achievements and attitudes of these young people. Through Fairbridge, they have had the opportunity to take on new challenges and receive much-needed support."
