The event was sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government's children, education and life-long learning minister Leighton Andrews and included a video presentation of road safety project work by young people.
Andrews said: "Education, skills and employment are the foundation for a successful life and are essential to the Welsh economy as we move out of recession.

Fairbridge specialises in supporting 13- to 25-year-olds at risk of offending and lacking confidence and motivation. Its work includes one-to-one support, as well as activities such as the road safety project.
