The Association of Directors of Children's Services and Partnerships for Schools, the organisation responsible for delivering BSF, are in early talks about introducing a mentoring scheme to help their members share best practice.
The scheme would allow directors of children's services who have been through the BSF process to pair up with their counterparts in councils that have yet to embark on the programme.
Issues set to be addressed by the scheme include how to establish governance structures and how to involve stakeholders.
