The charity's survey, conducted by NOP, also found that fewer than half of young mums had access to the full curriculum, with some local education authority areas offering as little as two hours tuition a week.
Sally Copley, director of policy, research and campaigns at the YWCA, said: "Whatever reason a young woman has to get pregnant, she does not deserve to be demonised. Young women wrote our campaign charter and their top two concerns were education and prejudice. Lack of access to education and a judgmental attitude meant that many of them would never get out of poverty."
The charter calls for the forthcoming green paper on youth to improve the services and educational support for young mums.
