Letter: Victim Support needs funding

I would agree with Lisa Payne's claim that Victim Support is receiving greater recognition, but I take issue with her assumption that our funding has improved (Children Now, 19-25 October). Victim Support's annual Home Office grant has remained static in recent years, which in real terms represents a significant cut and a threat to our services.

Victim Support has welcomed many of the Government's recentinitiatives.

Unfortunately, we haven't been given extra resources to deal with theincreased workload.

Dame Helen Reeve, chief executive, Victim Support.
