Letter: Rights and responsibilities

NCB's research on misbehaviour in schools polled "more than a hundred" children and from this paltry amount created a generalisation (Children Now, 19-25 October). I know many decent young people who would tell you that there is a substantial element in schools who neither respect adults nor their peers.

Children Now panders to those liberals who are either out to protecttheir own position or are simply deluded. It is largely because of themthat we have a generation where many have no concept of the relationshipbetween rights and responsibilities.

In many societies the word respect is closely associated with fear butin recent years we have removed fear from respect in search ofegalitarianism.

But I'm afraid I am better than a moronic child who has no interest inanything but themselves.

If readers disagree then I suggest they take a pay cut so they can trulyexperience egalitarianism.
