Inspectors have slammed child protection arrangements at Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust.

The Healthcare Commission and the Commission for Social Care Inspectionsaid: "Although there were named individuals in the trust who wereresponsible for child protection in Cornwall, the names of these peoplehad not been adequately communicated to staff."

The comments follow an investigation of the trust's services for peoplewith learning disabilities. This includes respite hospitals forchildren.

The report states: "A number of staff had not attended training in childprotection and some were uncertain of the procedure in the event of anincident."
