I had an interest in sports and had done athletics for four years, so I came to Lewisham College and enrolled on a sports course. I've just finished my NVQ Level 3 in Instructing Physical Activity and Exercise. I also successfully applied for a Sports Modern Apprenticeship at the college, which has given me a lot of opportunities. I did work experience in the gym as a personal trainer, and went to Chamonix on a skiing and snowboarding trip.
Before coming to Lewisham College I never thought I was good enough to go to university. Now I'm going to Bedfordshire University in September to study sports therapy. I'll be the first person in my family to get a degree. I want to prove to myself and my parents that I can do something really good.
