What it is: A photography project, run as part of a holiday club for four- to 11-year-olds

Goal: To provide a fun activity for children that also gives themphotography skills and boosts their self-esteem

Funding: 4,000 from the Arts Council England. This wassupplemented by 500 from the project's organiser, the North EastLincolnshire Montessori School

During the school Easter break, the North East Lincolnshire MontessoriSchool runs a holiday club for children aged four to 11. This year, theschool - armed with a grant from the Arts Council England - decided tointroduce a photography project alongside the club's usual range ofactivities.

While the primary aim of the two-week project was to offer the childrena fun activity, it also taught them about photography and boosted theirconfidence.
