Medway Dyslexia Association successfully bid for Children's Fund moneyin 2003 to fund a project to offer teachers and learning supportassistants training to better support children with dyslexia. Prior tothis the association had run infrequent conferences for teachers but thenew funding enabled it to run formal training sessions in schools aswell as individual consultations and resource packs.

The funding of just under 60,000 originally covered the first twoyears but was more than doubled to take the project up to 2008.
